Ice Skates for Hire
At Ice Skate Services we sharpen Ice Skates, we also have a selection skates available for hire, they are a mixture of Figure and Ice Hockey skates: sizes 3-13, the majority are figure skates between sizes 4-10. We recommend trying them on before you go skating because the sizing varies with each brand.
As a keen Ice Skater myself, I have been sharpening Ice Skates for 30
years. We can sharpen Figure, Ice Hockey and Goalie Ice Skates. We also
have a selection of skates that we use when we take friends to the local
Lakes in winter to go Skating, these skates are available for hire.
Contact us to hire some
skates.
If you are looking at heading up to the Lakes we strongly recommend that
you check out the Aardwolfs Ice Hockey Club
Natural Ice Reports
as they have up to date information on where are the best places to Ice
Skate, and some good
Safety Tips to use while you are there. They
also have an experienced group of dedicated skaters who organise trips
to the South Island lakes, if you want to go with those who know what
they are doing subscribe to their email list.
